A comprehensive assessment will be carried out to discuss what result you would like to achieve. Treatment options and how long the treatment is likely to take will be discussed.A treatment plan and estimate will be given. If you are new to the practice, you will require a full new patient plan and x-rays.
You will attend an appointment to have photographs and x-rays taken and to have either impressions or a scan of your mouth from which the aligners are made.
An appointment to view and approve your treatment proposal.
An appointment to be fitted with your first set of aligners, instructions will be given about how long to wear them (at least 22 hours per day) and when you can remove them i.e. to eat, drink, brush and floss.Several additional aligner sets and accessories will also be given to you.
A follow up appointment 3-8 weeks later for a review and to collect your next sets of aligners. Step 5 is repeated every 6-8 weeks until your treatment is completed.Treatment times vary from case to case but on average lasts 9-15 months.
At the end of your treatment retainers are provided and instructions for their use will be given.
