Starting your children in their early years at the dentist is important to promote great dental health and essential in helping your child get used to the practice surroundings and what happens when here.
We know that having children can be costly at the best of times, but we believe they still deserve the best start in life for their Dental Health.
That is why we have the following competitive rates in place for children.Children 0 – 5: Free of charge if one or both parents are on our maintenance plan and seen at the same time as the parent.Children 6 – 12: Will be placed on their own maintenance plan (if one or both parents are already on the maintenance plan) at £6 per month per child.Children 13 – 17: Will be placed on their own maintenance plan (if one or both parents are already on the maintenance plan) at £9 per month per child.We want to create a positive association with visiting the dentist as the importance of life long dental care in our younger patients. We firmly believe that good dental habits start young.
So we have tried to make their first visits to us as enjoyable as possible.
We first like them to see the dentists chair as a safe and fun place to be, so we let them take time to enjoy the space and see what everything does.
We do a short demonstration on how to clean their teeth properly with an over sized model.
Sugar is the number one cause of poor tooth health in Children (and most adults) so we like to help children understand why cleaning their teeth and trying to avoid too much sugar as so important.
Once the patient is at ease, we will conduct a simple examination and look for any weaknesses in the enamel or any potential problems.If any actual treatment is required, we will discuss it with you and generally invite the Child back on a second occasion to carry out any work required.
