A dental crown, or a cap as they are sometimes called, is an artificial restoration that fits over the remaining part of a prepared tooth. This makes it strong and gives it the shape of a natural tooth.
Your remaining tooth structure is sculpted into the correct shape to accept the new crown.We then scan the prepared tooth with the Cerec machine and design the new crown on the screen.
Your new crown is milled from a solid block in the milling machine and then polished or glazed prior to fitting.
We fit your new custom crown during the same visit.
